We recorded some tracks on a mac with USB driven sound devices. They were cool, but I'd need to ask my friend what that was. Still I have to say there is sound equipment that ist built for use with USB...

Lexmark has a tool for building linux drivers free to download on their site. Many common GDI printers have been ported to linux this way. I have one (Z612), it really performs great under SuSE.

You might have to look around if you can't do it yourself (like me, didn't take a closer look at the Lexmark tool..) But this man surely didn't even try, I doubt he even has linux installed :D

Yes, any OS is as bad as ones understanding of it. I even get stuck when int comes to certain window managers, but that's why we have so many. They have only one, and all the time tey believe it's an OS, not windows on top of an OS.

These people get totally confused when you confront them with options. They know only one OS, one window manager, one vendor, one brain set.

Pity them. They need it.
