Linux? I knew ATI was poo *long* before I started using Linux.

GPU alone means nothing, ATI cheats. They have, in the past (perhaps not in the future though), optimised their *hardware* for DirectX while sacrificing performance of OpenGL.

nVidia on the other hand, did not.

Lowest common denominator hardware. Of little interest to a hardcore, "elite gamer."

Funny, I saw a game with a penguin on the box not *too* long ago actually...

But still, you're right, they usually aren't sold in your regular stores. You're exaggerating on the number though....unless you're including absolutely bottom basement pooware games.

But still, as the man said, "elite gamer." Do you expect your average store to carry goods for the elite?

And Bioware, and Linux Game Publishing, and Transgaming (and the game companies that cooperate with Transgaming), and Icculus, and a ton of newer, smaller companies that have been coming out with some damn decent games lately....and plenty of great OSS games.
