Hilarious: No XP networking "Try reinstalling XP" 13201

I've fired up Knoppix several times on that machine, without any problems at all. Everything simply works. It's a Dell machine, and the internal hardware indeed looked a bit exotic. Ah well, so much for the universal hardware support of Windows. With Linux, I never have to bother with mobo's, drivers and stuff, it simply works. It's amazing that people still put up with this Windows rubbish - and the owner of this particular machine is getting ever more frustrated and angry. And that's why I still wanted to lend a helping hand, but alas, to no avail. Anyway, I'll steer clear of any Windows system from now on, unless the user is interested in dual-booting. Hehe, the only reason for me to get a new Linux install every year is to check out the new distribution features. And that usually takes half an hour or so, after which I can cheerfully work on. Some of my users have been on the same version distro for three years now, without any problem.
