I like real player, good all round music-video player. But my favourite bit is listening to radio stations around the world. I was almost on the...

That presumably is your answer to everything where you don't obtain the agreement you seek. That's not linux advocacy, that's an buttist to Microsoft and its success that you should adopt such an obtuse posture. I for one expected far better from you Mr. Gordon Burgess-Parker than that.

I am a very good judge of character under any communication medium, and on this occasion I was not so wrong about you, but that I gave you too much credit where, clearly no credit was deserving of you.

Then care to explain to us just how Ubuntu can be so non-deterministic as...

The problems in the lacking of linux advocacy are not only that you and your chav like friends are totally unable to rationally address and present on basic issues related to linux, but that you attention levels where tolerance is concerned is absolutely nonexistent. The main failing of you and your chavs, I believe, is that no one of you can coherently spell out, and focus on that advocating of linux without your incessant tirades of hatred towards Microsoft.

The hatred you have all harnessed toward Microsoft will be the downfall and destruction of linux and its community over time. And you will all receive the glory of what you seek which is to have been seen to express your non linux advocacy on this group.

For every time Microsoft is given a mention, linux is forgotten.

Walter Mitty No you haven't. I see you haven't been following the news all these years. Are you that clueless?? To find out just how malicious M$ is...

In the past year and in the next two years, all the BC corporates worldwide will be renewing their strategies, the way they work - sure it's been banded about before, but only cosmetically. Real change in the way businesses work is about to make a major change.

That change with furnish corporates the ability to jump ship if you will - change supplier. I am talking The biggest shake up in the history of industry across the board. Infrastructure libraries will be the key implementation for all BC companies, which as I said, will allow them to switch who they currently do business with, or stay for the long haul. My money is on business choosing Microsoft winning out. If the linux community is unable to support anything other than their current offerings, it will sink to the bottom. Arguably it is too late for the linux community to offer the things needed for such changes.

The bickering found in this group is enough to resonate throughout the linux community and afar. No corporate wants to be buttociated with the rubbishing of another, that is not what this is all about.

This group will have to change also if is to stand any chance of survival in having a host of products still in existence to post about. I was going to say, 'advocate', but I would have been misleading the audience, and just , well, blatantly lying It is obvious linux is uncompebreastive - to that end linux is not working within the law. It is applying an illegal and unfair advantage of contravening ethical sales methods, and will be stopped.

Could Linux be more in use than IDC or Gartner think 6808
mlw ... What about those of us who will be using more than 1 OS next year: I'm intending to rejig my home network slightly so that my usage with be spread more...

Blue chips will take the offerings from the big four when it comes to anything IT, not some unproven new kid on the block. There are far too many unresolved rights issues relating to linux that nobody wants to be caught later with their pants down, so to speak.

I hope you can all bring yourselves to try advocating linux just once, to see what it's like. I've done it, and I'm not even a linux advocate, why can't any of you chavs do that?

Bye for now. It's been lovely.

Frank.

It is my clear vision that the days ahead for linux are numbered. Microsoft will prevail beyond the next two decades.

I don't think I'm getting through so am posting again Hello? Thanks.

-- What makes a person doubt you is the horror at the thought they may be wrong.
