I figured out why the trolls are wrong 17317

Liam, you have have to INSTALL the games. This is not easy for newbies.

That is where it dies.

On windows, it is click, click, install. On linux, an admin has to install. They are not going to do it.

If the Flash in the browser stops working, it is not an easy fix. If the Macromedia stops working in the browser, not an easy fix.

You can do a lot of stuff in linux. IT IS THE HbuttLE FACTOR, the frustration factor, the time factor, knowledge factor.

That is where linux dies. It is not easy to run.

Here was the final straw for us. We have an HP 750 Printer-Scanner. The OCR software did not work. It took me 4 days to google, ask, help, configure to attempt to get it working, try things that did not work but BROKE other stuff, that makes it a nightmare.

The average user is not going to do that.

So while you talk about it, you omit the hbuttle-frustration factor. And IF it works, it works nice. It if does not work, it is a nightmare.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, THERE IS A HUGE HbuttLE FRUSTRATION FACTOR IN LINUX. There are people that write about it in article. I know, wrong distro, wrong hardware, wrong wrong wrong. There is the hbuttle factor, there is the frustration, and there goes linux.

That is why we dumped linux. It cost to much time and hbuttle to get things to work. On windows, I can just get the OS, use Open Office, Java, and the install factor is AWESOME.

You are know going to point to some very minor crap about windows like registry cleaning. But it is minor. very minor. at least i am working.
