As far as Protools-Cubase-Samplitude are concerned, they are all totally professional applications and when put alongside Linux so called equivilants, they blow Linux away. I have to wonder what motive the people pushing Linux have. Are they musicians? Are they working or studying in the field? Or, are they like the Reverend in my clbutt, a nice person totally misguided by Linux.

Look I am not anti-Linux, the idea of free software is appealing to a student like me, but I need to use industry standards. My time is valuable. My goal is creating music, not building the programs to do such.

I use what works and what 99 percent of the professional community is using and learning and I can tell you for a fact it is NOT Linux. Hell, Windows was in this boat 10 years ago against the Apple products. Maybe Linux can rise to the occasion? I really don't know, but I do know that the cult like atbreastude of the Linux users needs to change because it does nothing good and in fact just peees people off. In between laughs that is!
