Gak! Brilliant.

By sheer coincidence, I've just rebooted after using Windows for an hour or so. I swear the following is true:

I'm a poker player. A friend came around a couple of hours ago and the topic came up (we're both reg players but he only plays IRL - no PC "Too old. Not interested") and he says 'I've heard PokerStars is quite good'. I knew I had the Windows-only PokerStars software loaded in XP so I bit the bullet and off we went to look at the tables.

(Studying the tables and the play on them can be very informative and entertaining. You can see what hands are typically winning or being bet on at that table-level. You can tell if a table is conservative or loose and adjust your play accordingly.)

Anyhoo, I logged into my Windows user account, started the software and watched for nearly an hour. After said hour, if you are only watching, ie no activity, the connection is cut.

Close error message, refresh the connection? No. Close the few software's windows and restart the application? No, actually, what happened was Click error msg and try to close window. Failed with a Error Report.

Not a biggie, but, it made me giggle and think how much I miss Windows. All that was missing was a big blue BSOD for me to admire.
