Is Microsoft dying 625
While Apple certainly did not invent the mouse (or the GUI), it is common knowledge that Apple popularised both - just like they did with USB. Remember the "real men don't use mice" (image of man contemptuously holding a mouse by it's wire) thing? I most certainly do, regardless of what you believe. And the whole "one-button mouse" argument is mind-numbingly stupid. You have been informed over and over ad nauseam that maccies who need mice with more than one buttons can go buy the mouse of their choice, plug it in, and it'll work. But I realise this whole "plug-and-play" thing may seem a bit incredible to you wintrolls. This shows you're too stupid to recognise sarcasm. I left that "space" because I *knew* you were gong to bring up the fact that windows can be operated without a mouse - just like any other OS I know of. Did I ever say otherwise, edwin? You're soo predictable. Mind you, "can be used" and "usable" are two different things. How many people do you know of who choose to use Windows without a mouse? Other than that Apple brought it to the mbutt market... Ooh.. you used the "L" word. What I wrote was this: "No - due to ignorance of the fact that one can use other OSes than Windows. This is changing now - which is why MS will lose." You snipped everything after the "No -", which changed the meaning of what I wrote, and then you have the temerity to call me a liar. You're being dishonest again, edwin. Sooner or later, you're going to go out in the real world and meet real people and real computer users. I think it'll be quite a shock for you. MS and the wintrolls do. I see. So you're no longer a wintroll, you're a Linux dweeb*. Congratulations (I think). * Note: the "dweeb" part does not include Linux users in general. Just some of them... Do you have *anything* to back this up? And it was commonly used on the desktop? There is nothing "bolted" about it. Aqua and Darwin work seamlessly together - unlike earlier forms of windows where DOS kept popping up to the surface. AFAIK W2K was the first iteration of Windows where that did not take place. Really? Then why is XP being eaten by malware as if it was a leg with gangrene? You were saying about "rock-like heads"...? No, you're like the poor huddled mbuttes forced to endure repeated onslaughts of malware that clog up your systems. Is Microsoft dying 626 C Lund BSD, out with You've already amply proven your opinions, as above, are based on ignorance. It's just a common Maccie fantasy that Apple, with... *Space for edwin to tell us he's NEVER had any kind of malware*
Is it "dabbling" when it's your main OS? *I* dabbled in Linux, and gave up when I couldn't even get it to install properly. The people I'm talking about used it for years (and my sister is still using it). That's not "dabbling". Very likely, yes. Linux is going to eat the marketshare of Windows. But some of them go to OS X instead. MS losing the market it once had is a loss. Apple not gaining a market it never had is not a loss. Is that so hard for you to understand? But then there's that rock-like head of yours... Is Microsoft dying 630 On 2-13-05 2:31 PM, in article The biggest thing threatening Microsoft right now if not Linux taking share from Windows - it is pirated versions of Windows squeezing out legal sales.
