This is not really a question but rather a statement about the regards to persons who use...

No self-respecting Consumer Debt products company would crow about a device that sells a paltry 10 million units.

Oh, and iTunes? The socalled 1 million a day downloads?

Do the math:

10 million ipods.

1 million downloads day.

Means, each ipod owner downloads 1 song every 10 days.

Means, each ipod owner downloads 36 songs per year.

Means, each ipod owner downloads the equivalent of 4 CDs a year.

So, iPod-iTunes people buy 4 CDs a year.

wow...

See, there's the contradition!

Apple is claiming to 'own' the upscale market, but then sees fit to bastardize itself with a mac mini.

But here's what I think: Apple can only sell to Mac enthusiasts...who have incomes well above the average user. So, since they can only sell these people so many PCs, they have to create more overpriced products to milk their herd. A $500 mp3 player? Sure, we spent that much on Belgian endive last month! A $500 coffee table computer? Well...ok, I'll never use it, but it sure looks cool on my desk, next to the $4000 dual G5 I bough a few months ago.

And so on. Face it, Apple is a fan club, who eat their own dogfood.

The problem is: no one else wants to eat it.
