Is it a requirement that Mac users be "good looking" 13294
Mxsmanic Is it a requirement that Mac users be "good looking" 13295 Dolores All my little note does is point out that in the near future it is quite conceivable that many... I don't know what I'm hearing, but I hear the hum (kind of a whiny hum) from nearly all CRTs. I've asked my doctor about this and it's not all that unusual. Then there's something wrong with nearly every CRT I've been near, brand new or otherwise, because they all make a noise. So do all televisions but it's much much louder. I can hear one if it's on anywhere in the house. I can hear security systems; they're very loud. So can my friend Chris8. It's not that unusual, and certainly not so unusual as to be deemed "impossible", although as a layperson I suppose you don't know that. The monitors in my house are set to 1024x768, which doesn't seem absurdly low to me. The noise they make when you set them lower is absolutely intolerable. In your reply you edited out the part where I said that the specific reason I would not choose to f*** around with an LCD is because they're inadequate for photo processing. If you weren't arguing against that specific point, then there was no point to your rebuttal because I never said that there was no point to buying an LCD unless you are working with photographic images. -- why? Morals is about having the right to do everything you're strong enough to do, or not. -- Frank, french philosophy student
