On Tuesday 01 November 2005 06:05, Unruh stood up and spoke the following words to the mbuttes incomp.os.linux.advocacy...:

Don't bother, Bill. It's just one of the 10+ or so nymshifts offlatfishthat we've been getting here in the last 24 hours, and so is the person "Karel Olish", who replies to his own post.

The original post was sent through an open proxy - known to be used byflatfishall the time - and the reply through Google Groups - also a posting method offlatfish.

He's posted loads of articles today projecting different angles and different stances, a few of them about how "Linux sux" (sic).

You can tell by the use of hard line breaks after a short sentence, the mulbreastude of posts, the cross-posting and the occasional typos that it's all the same person.

Said person has already admitted that he's not against GNU-Linux - he actually uses it - but that he simply and obsessively hates the people in C.O.L.A., and for some reason I still don't understand, he consistently goes through a whole lot of trouble for flooding this and other GNU-Linux groups with these posts, nymshifting and changing posting methods.

He posts from Google Groups, from Windows and from SuSE, the latter two using open proxies. He's been doing this on a regular basis - at least once every week - for at least over a year now, and some would say for much longer even.

Linux is an OS, not an application suite
billwg Yes, and no. To begin with, let's look at the modern definition of an operating system. The kernel - this is the "True" Linux. Linus Torvalds wrote a kernel, which is maintained by Linus...

It's amazing that so many people still actually take his posts seriously, when it's already so obvious that it's him. I can spot him from a mile away. Killfilingis pointless, as he shifts pseudonyms and throw-away e-mail addresses - typically fromyahoo.comorgmail.com- more rapidly and frequently than you or I can change socks.

I really don't understand his obsession...
