Linux apps like Quicken are badly needed 3385Timo Pirinen "Visa Electron" appears to be what we call a "debit card." Out here it's basically something that looks and functions like a credit-card but is tied to your bank checking account. You use it to pay as if it were a credit card but the money actually comes directly from your bank account. Just about *every* store takes these and credit cards. My wife, myself and my kids all have one of these and they've been common for many years now. In reality I hardly ever use my debit-card unless I have to. I have this really nice American Express card that I use whenever possible and here's why. For starters I get billed once a month which means that I can leave all that money in my bank until the end of the month when I pay my bill. (I never carry a balance so I have yet to pay $0.01 of interest.) Another benefit is that I get cash back from American Express every year for using the card. The amount varies but it's between 1.5% to 5% of my purchase amount. Once a year Amex gives me a cash bonus of roughly $900 based on my purchases. I also get all sorts of other cool benefits and they cover 100% of any internet fraud, misuse, have the industries best customer service and etc. Michael Dell Speaks About Linux 3386 Larry Qualig on Wednesday 08 March 2006 16:03 I agree with Larry on that one, albeit with caution and hesitance.
