Linux to Inherit Virtualization 4356
Rex Ballard You're welcome. It sure would be nice if you learned from these corrections, but I know that's too much to ask. As an aside, how do you maintain your civility on a group like cola, in the face of such withering attacks from me? I sure couldn't do it. You were raised wrong...
Your MO is to always accuse MS first, and only sometimes leave yourself an out.
Yes, I saw that. In fact, Linux isn't even mentioned in the FAQ. But as we all know, MS is well aware of Linux.
Novell doesn't tell us "Richard Stallman developed gcc" on the Suse box, either.
It's a good product, actually. Though Linux runs pretty slowly as my Virtual PC guest OS (even with 512 memory devoted to it)
Linux to Inherit Virtualization 4357 DFS 26 years in the IT Industry, 26 years of rigorously working 12 step programs, 15 years of working with Landmark... No, I'm not saying that. It depends on the product.
It is a little confusing. For the record, I think it's kind of chickenpoo for them to disallow benchmarks, and I wonder how they could enforce such a thing. I guess just the threat of an MS lawsuit is enough.
Did you notice Microsoft Research supports work on Xen? Do you like apples? How 'bout them apples?
Anytime. In fact, most times you post I'll follow behind with a series of "corrections."
Bluetooth and Linux BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 On 2006-05-10, rapskat spake thusly: Great! I'm glad to hear it worked well. More on this as the... I wasn't around then.
You might want to try a little harder before bashing MS or Windows. I know you won't have much to say if you can't lie and exaggerate about MS-Windows, but you'll feel better.
Exactly. Why would they promote any product that will possibly hurt Windows sales? And I don't blame them.
True.
That's absurd. If you don't want to use Windows you don't have to.
Uh oh. Do you think he ever read it?
That timing sure is coincidental. You sure you weren't responsible for Netscape giving it away?
Today we can finally see how small a segment of the desktop market Linux really is.
I admit to being kind of fascinated by Unix-Linux (in case you couldn't tell by my obsessive cola presence). It's so different from Windows. Some of the architectural flexibility is really nice. The loading of kernels. The window managers. It's a geek's dream platform.
That's more absurdity. How is giving away a free VM that lets you run Linux as a guest OS preventing compebreastors from entering the market? If anything, it lets users try a full install without touching their Windows parbreastion.
Good. They own the VM, and the OS. Thankfully, they can mostly do what they want with their own products. I wonder what the "EU Compebreastion" commission would have to say on this.
Using Linux as the host OS could lead to more familiarity with Linux, and possibly reduced sales of Windows.
You're willing to admit you're wrong in a tiny, tiny number of cases, when you even bother to read the reply that proves you wrong. Linux to Inherit Virtualization 4358 Sometimes I do that. That's true. Especially when there are no real hard facts to back up either interpretation of the little information that is known. Again, this is mostly a point of...
I don't know about Ballmer, but Gates was upfront about missing the impact and growth of the Internet.
