LinuxOSS: the dollar store of the software world 6444

The world would rather have MS Project on Windows.

But, I have found Linux-OSS software that does things well. The KDE Menu Editor seems to be superior to the features available to edit menus in Windows. The KDE apps on the whole are pretty good - and the KDE project will be receiving a donation from me at some point.

They're pretty much going to be disappointed.

DFS snip Funny you should ask, because there is a historically accurate answer to this: CP-M by Digital Research Inc...

Linux isn't beating MS - at anything - in the markets in which they both compete.

Maybe so, but your estimate is just a wild guess pulled out of your behind. Many Linux nutcases were making the same claims 3, 5 and 8 years ago.

Again, maybe so. For the time being, pirated Windows has the huge upper hand in Asia.

Where's the resemblance of Windows to those systems?

Sounds like you haven't been using Windows for the last 5 years.

I would be glad to note that if you pointed me to a reputable source.

Silly.

Well, Windows sure does sell. On the other hand, Linux really *isn't* being used.
