Mandrake disappointment 1755
My sympathies... Something others seem to have a challenge with. :) Mandrake disappointment 1756 On Fri, 11 Mar 2005 12:31:44 -0700, Snit That's likely because it's a page comparing paid versions. Download editions are available elsewhere. And, like i said, most of the software is... Yeah... I had a customer call me and read me the error message... I told him it was likely a floppy in the drive - but he was not right at the computer when he called (there was no phone next to it). I told him he could go check, but he did not want *anyone* but me to touch the computer - too afraid to lose all his data. So off I went to eject the floppy and press enter... and the customer was happy as could be. I taught him how to do backups not long after. :) I understand that - I just get tired of people who can not even comprehend that others find something so "simple" really quite complex. Oh, I think I see what you mean... files and folders. With OS X you have to double click (well, there are ways around this, but generally). OS 9 had a "buttons" view where the icons were placed on buttons and needed only a single click. Wish that were still there - or something like it, for OS X. Say it ain't so! :) Actually, I have that fear. I will be outdated some day. Another reason to learn Linux. Usenet Zone Free Binaries Usenet Server More than 120,000 groups Unlimited download
