Why I don't use Linux
It all boils down to being a square peg in a round hole, which is what Linux really is. I bought a Dell system with a 21 inch flat panel display and all the toys...

Nico Kadel-Garcia I wonder. In about 1997 a couple I knew bought a Dell Dimension 200 (or something...

Thats 10^9 or a thousand million spent on knocking the opposition and not on the current virus-spam-phising epedemic. It's patently clear just where Microsofts priorities lie, in their own pocket book.

`Taylor announced that Microsoft is giving partners access to the same sales tools and compebreastive data that it provides its own direct sales force.

Tomas Bicsak You do realize that fitting a square peg into a round hole is a useful carpentry technique... right...

You're going to pay us to brainwash you :)

`The scheme will help partners compete better against Linux offerings from Novell, IBM and Red Hat by giving them access to the information they need to compete effectively, says Taylor.'

The scheme will help deflect our own resellers from jumping ship.

`The campaign was launched two years ago at the request of partners.'

The campaign wasn't launched two years ago at the request of partners. It was launched after Ballmer noticed how successfull Linux was and started to secretly funnel funds to SCO and bought off Sun, about the same time Scott McNealy started to rubbish Open Source in public.

"When I started in this role I went on a listening tour. One thing I heard from partners was 'There is this emotional, religious war going on with Linux right now, can you help us?'" says Taylor.

What would a Microsoft partner be doing looking at Linux and why, when they see it, would they get all emotional and have to phone you? Are you now become the Abby Van Buren of the marketing department?

Snip Its a shame 'Linux' didn't work for, I say its a shame because all the core things you mention you us your system for...

`Taylor says there has been a major shift in the emotional approach to Linux.'

We've spent enough on fake TCO and fake litigation issues to now start quoting them on the fake getthefacts web site.

How much were they spending before they initiated the Martin Taylor job?

Did Microsoft ever set up a special lab where they could analyze those others to ensure MS were building the right thing?

Why doesn't Redhat or Novell also have a lab where they study Windows to try and understand all those secrets of innovation?

Did you notice that all those mentioned above have at one time or another partnered with Microsoft?
