NEW to LINUX 13283
OLDDINO It's not nonsense. Of course I can't stop cola bozos from posting lies about MS and Windows, but I can counter some of them. About 75% of the time MS or Windows or an MS product is mentioned on cola, it's accompanied by a lie.
NEW to LINUX 13286 amosf What a silly copout. Of course I don't have 4 million of anything in buttets. But I have plenty enough money to make it worth your while - if... If you could read you would see the real reason for cola's existence is an outlet for the hatred they have toward successful Microsoft and Windows.
So am I. So are all of us. Even the cola nuts are real workers.
Our presence isn't disruptive; it helps balance their sick ideology.
That's pretty much how I feel about Linux and OSS.
In the words of the best US President in modern times: "There you go again with the lies." There's some odd groupthink ("Must...hate...and...insult...Microsoft") that occurs once you nuts embrace Linux or Unix.
NEW to LINUX 13284 OLDDINO OK. And? I do contract work for a large company (2004 revenue of $2.2 billion... So, what's the name of the spreadsheet and word processor your company designed and created and uses internally?
Mainframes. How exciting! There you go again. Lying about MS and Gartner.
Just about everyone.
This 'who cares?' and non-sequitur bs occurs every time MS or Windows beats Linux-OSS at something. It's a tried and tested but still untrue cola nut evasive tactic.
That depends on the product. They definitely have the best office suite, and many of the best desktop apps. By most criteria, they offer the best OS as well. Linux is more flexible and scalable than Windows - but the overwhelming majority of people don't care. They have certain work or tasks or music or photos they want to manage, and XP helps them do it with access to a huge universe of apps and hardware. It's really not even a contest at this point in time.
How boring is that?
Would that it were so.
