I think the following is an accurate buttumption. Most linux users have knowledge of more than one OS. Most windows users only know windows. I haven't used that many distinctly different OS's... Maybe 6 types maybe. Win users tend not to know other OS's exist.
And I can run a current linux distro on the same machine today in a stable secure fashion. ME is not really either. OOo may not run in a useful fashion on the box, but then current MSO won't either. Shrug. I can probably find some old SO that works okay.
Work and life allows us to spend the great majority of our time together. Cool.
