Name 1 M$ Product That Adds ValueOn Fri, 11 Mar 2005 16:42:35 +0000, billwg MS makes yet another smart move 1714 As web-based and collaborative apps start becoming more common, yeah I can see Office monopoly going away. Adding more features isn't the answer - hardly anyone uses more... True, but then this is what the poster is asking us to do, and in terms of Linux users they understand that the products they use are superior. I disagree, surely for this to be true you would have to have no prior knowledge of the products, yes people will select what they perceive to be best but then thats what advert's are for, it follows that money talks. Not true in this context, people will take the line of least resistance, for the MS user it goes: I have a MS system I have given time and effort to build that system, and the next package will fix my problems, MS has to be OK because everyone uses it, I like this new package X, I don't have time to look at alternatives... The Linux user, package x looks interesting, I think I will give it a try, if I don't like it, I have the empowerment to fundamental change it, not us it, or look at alternatives. MS makes yet another smart move 1715 Ray Ingles You can see it, but it's not going to happen. What company in its right mind...
True, but those who understand the FUD, are growing rapidly, MS made a fundemental mistake with XP, they did not understand at the time how computer use was going to change, today to start using a MS operating system is stupidity, and will not contribute much to the evolution of the computer system.
