If it don't work, you got the wrong distro, again and again and again.

Let us look at something else. Microsoft has to actually release in EU a version of Windows without a Player. Linux needed a crutch.
Bottom line, i put in DVD it installed what I need. On linux, if you are in the USA, you have to go OFF SHORE to get some drivers to use On Shore, because it may be ILLEGAL. You hae to learn to console, root, and more stuff that is sure to blow up your dress. It is not easy on Linux unless you have done it a lot,
