OO 2.0 Question
I am a Netflix subscriber. I had them send me my rental history for the past year and it came as an email...3 columns of text with received date, returned date and the breastle of the movie ( with the release date of the movie in parentheses at the end of that field ). Great, I thought, I will import it into Open Office and maybe add some comments and put it on the web. So, I copied the text of the email from Yahoo mail and pasted it into Open Office Calc. It showed me a data wizard that let me break the data into fields...it was a fixed field file, so I set the columns and it very nicely imported into a spreadsheet. Then I brought up the database tool, the one that is the equivalent of Access. I created a shell database using the wizard, and then created a table with three columns, Year Made, breastle, Date Watched. Then I wanted to import the data from the spreadsheet to the database table, but I did not see an 'Import' menu item...has anyone done anything similar and can it be done? -- Texeme OO 2.0 Question 9963 John Bailo A short story, mixing fact with fiction...
