We are? How weird. Let's see: "We can do the job, with Linux, legally." Hmm, nope, that stament hasn't changed one iota. Nor has its meaning. Nor has anything we've been telling you in relation to it.

It is true as long as you allow for, as you have admitted, conditions. It is not true of all...
Slice, dice, puree and hand-wave all you want, the statement, as made, remains: "We can do the job, with Linux, legally."
If you want to add in some extra bit about "all versions of Linux", that is entirely your problem; I made no statement about "all versions of Linux", I feel no need to defend or support such a statement, since it wasn't mine in the first place.
We can do the job, with Linux, legally. A simple, clean statement, one which you persist in trying to make messy, whilst ignoring its import. Should every single distro, LiveCD, version, flavor or whatever all instantly turn commercial and not-for-copying, with the sole exception of a single LiveCD, such as Knoppix, guess what? Yup, you got it: we can do the job, with Linux, legally.
Hell, if every single distro, LiveCD, version, flavor or whatever all instantly turned commercial and not-for-copying, guess what? My *existing* Gentoo, Debian or other sources allow me to build my own distro, free of such restrictions - so even if every single flavor of Linux suddenly adopted some weird licensing, you know what? You got it: we can do the job, with Linux, legally.
Again, did you have a point?
