Hey, moron, what do you think the non-commercial distros are *for*? Hell, Debian goes out of its way to reject anything that even *smells* like it has a potentially restrictive license, because not only do they expect Debian to be copied far and wide, they even expect people to use it to create their *own* distros from. Commercial or otherwise.
Oh, let me guess, Debian isn't Linux. Or LiveCDs aren't Linux. Or neither are. No, no, they're both Linux. In fact, there's over 100 LiveCD desktop versions alone. Guess what? We can use any of 'em to accomplish the task... legally and free. See? We can use Linux to accomplish the task. Is it sinking in now?
Since the only one who has even hinted at any bizarre requirement for "Linux as a whole" is *you*, and you weren't the one making the initial statement - that was me, remember? - what possible relevance does that have?

Sure. Why do you suggest anyone has said otherwise? In what way? I strongly believe Debian is...
Right, none. *You* are the only one off on this weird "Linux as a whole" kick. Will it make you happier if we just say no, there might be some disto, somewhere, that you can't legally copy? Fine, great, done. Guess what? We can *still* do the job with Linux - which was the statement made. So what has all your crap accomplished, other than to demonstrate your inability to grasp even the simplest and most trivial of points?

snips On Thu, 07 Jul 2005 07:51:58 -0700, Snit ROFL! You have *got* to be freakin' kidding! Can we legally make and distribute free copies of Linux? Bet your butt we can...
Your crap about "Linux in general" having *any* relevance whatsoever to anything that's been said, for one.
