They asked for it. No, they didn't. Ever. Yes, of course he *should* have done that. But that's not how it works. Fear, despair, misery, paralyse and disable you, make you vulnerable. Maybe his parents weren't the kind of people he could talk to. Maybe he felt unable to speak out, or even to run away. That's the point. He couldn't. It doesn't get to that stage overnight. And autistic people must have an even harder time of coping with such things. If it was that easy to escape, bullies wouldn't be able to operate as easily as they do. OT "The Evil That Men Do" 6752 On Sat, 10 Dec 2005 13:06:24 -0600, Erik Funkenbusch How can going to school be putting oneself in harm's way? Do you suppose someone goes... Clearly, she had a problem. It's not the same thing. Since when did going to school consbreastute putting oneself in a situation to invite bullying? That's pretty much all Aragorn seems to have done. Doid he not have the right to go school and not be molested? Suppose he had CP, and his schoolmates amused themselves by calling him a spastic. Would you say he had brought *that* on himself? -- Kier
