OT "The Evil That Men Do" 6755begin risky.vbs I've had a terrible memory for certain types of things all my life. In fact I would say its bad for everything. I do of course have the ability to remember but it certainly isn't 'normal'. I have always found it very difficult to remember things like poetry. Learning a foreign language is also extremely difficult for me. Running as root I've noticed that even though in most circles it's considered standard practice to run your... In my mid-30's I discovered that most people can picture things in their mind. I cannot do this. I can close my eyes, think of something yet never see a picture of it in my 'minds eye'. Very occasionally a picture will appear in my mind when I'm relaxing and not thinking about anything specific. This lasts for a second or so and then it is gone. One area where this shows up most strikingly is remembering the names of people. I have found this extremely hard my entire life. No problem with close friends or family members no doubt because I see them so often that an buttociation between their faces and their names is very strong. At work it is the opposite. I recognise the face of people who I have met several times but seldom can put a name to them. For people who I work with closely I can normally remember their names but occasionally I can't and even sometimes call them with the wrong name. Of course, whenever I mention this inability to picture things in my mind to people they never believe me. Your girlfriends problem seems much more acute than mine though and she has my sincere sympathy. Like her I am good at problem solving where logic is the main requirement. Thank goodness for computers and SW engineering. Its an area most suited to my abilities. :-) -- Windows rootkit install HOWTO: 1. Open CD drive 2. Insert music CD 3.
