In their never-ending attempt to slander MS and Windows, cola loudmouth crazies would have everyone believe 80% of Windows systems are mbuttively infected with viruses, trojans and malware.

It's just not true.

It's been months since I last ran MS AntiSpyware, or AVG AntiVirus, and the results of tonight's scan are stellar. In fact, I don't know why I even bother scanning my Windows Server system for malware and viruses - it's a waste of time.

Out of the hundreds of thousands of files on my Windows box:

* the MS Malicious Software Removal Tool detected no malicious software * the AVG 7.0 virus scanner detected no viruses * the MS AntiSpyware found a single piece of IE adware called EUniverse Updater (which is unusual, as I rarely use IE). It never affected me, and never hijacked my browser.

And I use minimal protection:

* my system isn't even patched to SP1. In fact, it hasn't been patched for 6 months at least. * no anti-virus or aftermarket firewall (like ZoneLabs) has been used for 4 months at least. * I use a Linksys BEFW11S4 broadband 802.11b router. * I keep the Windows Internet Connection Firewall on.

Windows: safe, secure, stable, blazing fast, reliable, tons of great software, tons of great hardware, tons of great games... Linux: why?
