Oxford says Apple's OS X is a Linux distro 3219snips On Tue, 21 Mar 2006 14:55:10 +0100, Peter Kshlmann Of course he is. He knows damned well he can't offer a solution to the problem at all, let alone an easier one. He seems to think we're anti-OSX. Dunno about you, but I'm not. I'm all for more options. Frankly, I'd be surprised if OSX weren't a reasonably powerful, flexible system - maybe not on a part with the flexibility and openness of Linux, but that doesn't make it crippled. Oxford says Apple's OS X is a Linux distro Not only am I surprised at the fact that you managed to type so many words in a row (or... Oxford says Apple's OS X is a Linux distro 3222 Sandman The reason is that you Mac-fanboys buttert that "OSX has 'ease of use'" and others... What I am against is the sheer idiocy of the Macintrolls. Not Mac users generally, just the few french fries for brains types we get joining us here. "OSX is easier", we're told - unless we try to actually use it, then a half dozen of 'em, in two weeks, can't come up with even an equivalent to an already solved task, never mind an easier alternative. Speaks volumes about the supposed ease of use. "Consistent UI" we're told, except that it turns out not to be, as his explaining the difference between updating the "BSD layer" and everything else shows. I'm quite happy to accept that OSX is a decent system and that Mac users, on the whole, are fairly normal people. The ones we get here, however, make themselves *and* OSX look like a product by retarded chimps, for retarded chimps. They'd do OSX a much greater service if they simply shut up and let it stand on its own merits, or let someone with a few more functioning neurons speak for it.
