Panasonic doubles Bluray capacity to 50GB

Managed copy: Managed Copy is not a function of the optical disc format, but a function of the content protection system. The AACS content protection system, which is used by both Blu-ray Disc and HD-DVD, enables managed copy and network streaming functionality. It is not format specific.

Since both BR and HD DVD support such control, what's there to chose between them on this ?

As for "support":

I am not supporting either format (well, I bought a new dvd writer recently, which happens to do BR, if you count that as support, but it was mostly because it was the best deal for the $$ in the store, they didn't seem to have any HD-DVD writers handy for comparison though)

I found it intersting that BR is coming out with 50GB discs (which, unlike the HD offering, are full capacity in the recordable formats as well, something that HD-DVD doesn't seem to offer.
