Oxford is certainly an idiot, and I've said so. I've had little to do with the other two - the former is obnoxious, while the latter seems a bit more reasonable.

Strange, but I seem to be doing that without much difficulty. If you spendt less time saying 'idiot', and more time talking sensibly, maybe you would too.

Flatfish is a well-proven jerk. And no, I don't believe a word of his-its lies and fabrications, nor have I ever claimed to. But flatfish has been around a long time, and I've read the evidence against him myself.

I've never given flatfish any credence at all. Whoever-whatever he-it is. But am I to buttume that a person cannot speak up to defend themselves? It's up to the individual whether or not they then believe or disbelieve that defence.

Snit has admitted to winding people up sometimes. It's a silly habit, but he is after all, only human. Some people do that, here and in RL. It only works if you rise to it. Rick seems to rise to it constantly.

No. But we are not talking about flatfish. Why should I accept Carroll's proof, when I don't believe he is blameless himself? IMO, it is more like six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Not from where I'm sitting. If he and the others really wanted rid of Snit, they would cease responding to him. Instead, they go on and on and on. I've told Snit he would do better just to stop breast-for-tatting. Could be he's just got stuck in a habit of it. It's human nature not to like giving an opponant the last word - look at the way people sometimes respond to K-Man, even when they know better. I've done it myself, even, and with Heenan.

I don't care what you think about it, Peter. Why do you persist in believing that only Snit is at fault? If Snit posts x number of times in CSMA, and others reply to him, constantly, how can their level of posting be any less than his? How is it any less reprehensible?

Personally, I don't much care what he does in his own back yard. While he continues to discuss Linux reasonably with me, I will do him the same courtesy. When he stops being reasonable with me, I will stop talking to to him. End of story.
