I don't see why not. At least if you look at the point I was making, instead of the one you apparently imagined. AFAIK, Eudora is not a proprietary fork of the original source code that Thunderbird evolved from, and as such is not really relevant to the argument. How much better is Thunderbird now than it was originally? My argument is *not* that OSS is better than CSS (though often enough it is). My *actual* argument is that if you choose to *use* OSS, then by its very nature you must also care about the source code (even if indirectly), because it would not have been the same product if the code was not in the open. I'm not saying that it would be better or worse, just not what it is now.
