Any real admin will never walk from server to server and look at their individual GUIs. That extremely silly notion is only rampant in windows and Mac worlds

"insignificant" only in your definition. In my definition (and in that one of most real admins) *any* CPU cycle wasted for a GUI is, well, wasted

You still have to show why a GUI tool would be faster. It is not. It is (sometimes) easier to use. That has nothing to do with speed of use

I don't. Actually, I use both, depending on context But the server is admined nearly 100% via CLI tools. On my desktop the mix is about 80% CLI and the rest GUI

You like to spend the money on useless fluff But $50 will not buy you a decent (smart) video card And it will not buy you the monitor to connect to that card I will simply forgo the keyboard and mouse which are also not needed Make that more in the vicinity of $250

"Trial-and-errror" was not for the GUI. The GUI would facilitate trial-and-error usage by the (clueless) "admin" (a typical mac-user)
