The cost of uploading prevents decent downloads... e.g. pilfered movies
Hi Rick, Re: Why Platinum's admin allowed me to use his wireless LAN, Why is Microsoft so successful Read why these Harvard Business School professors think so: "Microsoft has remained at the top of its game for more than two decades-a time of tremendous technological... Well, Rick, I'm sure you'll get a kick out of this story... Although Platinum was benching at 1.5 mbps down... it was only .25 mbps up. I made the mistake of uploading a few 100+ meg files, which sucked up virtually all of his upload bandwidth for many many hours. I think Comcast's customer support were confused because I also asked about how consistent their upload speeds are compared to DSL. ...Next time I'll keep it to one just one line: What upload speeds-prices do you offer ? I'm thinking that it's 43 dollars per month for .25 mbps up, 53 for .38 mbps up ( I'm also thinking that they lie about that ). I might be able to justify the 53 dollar per month cost ( plus installation... there's no cable-jack in my room ) as a business expense... I've got to spend money to earn it. O-o-oh... The cost of uploading ! Why is Microsoft so successful 458 On Fri, 11 Feb 2005 21:48:03 +0000, billwg 'Microsoft appealed the District Court's decision. On June 28, 2001, the Court of Appeals, sitting... Ironically, The cost of uploading prevents decent downloads... e.g. pilfered movies.
