poor john was still in diapers the last time apple unseated a giant. it's not numbers that dictate the ability to unseat an established player. apple and visicalc unseated IBM in the late 70's who was far more powerful than MS is today. it only takes a person app on a cheap system, and the game completely changes... tiger will blow large holes in the current arrangement, the mini now makes generic pc's look dated in comparison, it's very possible the mini will become more popular than the ipod in which case, MS will fade just like IBM faded during the 80's and 90's... all the pieces laid out 7 years ago are beginning to fall into place... apple now has the best servers for the price, best os for the price, best low end system for the price, best laptops for the price, best professional apps for the price... apple Office is almost done, only the spreadsheet remains to be completed, so throw in a dose of marketing similar to what apple has done with the iPod and it's lights out over for most of the established pc players. good times are ahead that's for sure...
