no, i do see that, and $140 is A LOT on a $499 item... I guess what I've never understood is why stuff is so expensive in the UK... whenever I'm there I'm shocked by even little things like Milk or Bread is 30% more without any added benefit... VAT is part of the problem, but something deeper is at play in the UK... it's like a mafia is running the country and is taking a 10% cut for every transaction... the rest of europe is somewhat bad, but UK is crazy expensive for what you get... the mini small enough I'd just have someone bring it in on their next visit...
Yeah, a few weeks ago there was an article about the various expenses Apple has to pay to bring items into the UK, wished I would of saved the link... it explained it pretty well and made sense... but damn, it's unfair either-way... who is getting this extra $140, it's sure not apple... I'd almost be willing to put one up on ebay for you to buy, then I'd ship it as a gift to you... or I should be over there in a couple months, but hbuttle wise... never mind :)
