Possibly. but not all of us can run to dual monitors. Though you can do the same with Linux, I understand, I've neither the desktop real eastate, or the monitors, to try it.

Perhaps this is why I ask questions. If you don't want to answer them then don't. But don't waste bandwidth, my time and everyone elses time with one line responses...

Exactly.

Yes, I've used Windowblinds in my time, and I liked it, but it can sometimes cause more problems than it should do. But it does show that such enhancement sare possible, which makes me wonder why Windows itself lags behind in that respect.

I find StyleXP is a better choice; although you can't do quite as much with it, its more simple themes are very attractive, and I've never had a problem with it so far. Not that I boot Windows very often these days, I have to say.

Well, it can be a small a thing as a different look and feel. However, if you swap KDE for something like fluxbox-blackbox or Afterstep or Enlightenment, not only do they look different - completely different, in the case of Enlightenment - they usually behave differently too. If you want you can even eliminate all need for the mouse with wms like Ratcontagion, which is completely keyboard driven.

Why don't you grab a copy of Mandriva LE 2005 or something, and try some of them out?
