I don't have a problem with that it and of itself. But with Erik it's never quite that simple. With Erik it's often...

I'm not exaggerating. Just have to look in the mirror or reflect on your own writings below to realize how far down the conditioning path things have gone.

In the days of DOS other equivalents, PCs were not bolted to the OS, and everyone thought about how best discs could be made swappable to quickly bring a failed trading desk back because it is costing money. Everything from network booting to swappable drives were the rage. Flip to 2006 and now try to swap a disk! Its BSOD and possibly loss of disk and its data. You get conditioned to eliminate disk swap and focus on network booting totally forgetting that a network boot could also fail on you catastrophically with cable fault and a fix takes a lot longer than a simple disk swap.

Not with linux and things like installed knoppix. They boot regardless and carry on as if normal on completely different machines.

When you are in serious developer mode and can't get peey little OS issues and BSODs to hold you up; Linux is the answer. Things like Fedora, Open SuSE 10.1 beta5 and knoppix 4.0.2 DVD edition have tons of working developer software ready to go. You try and build developer enviroments like that under windoze and you end up with machines that BSOD several times on a daily basis taking your data with it.

Old Larry Funkenbush Qualig, the stupid BOY, decided he couldn't call me a liar, instead opted to flame bait with clueless idiot strategy. Well, you are a stupid BOY Larry. Run away as far as you want BOY!
