Time for everyone to leave now..... 3290BZZZZZT! Iamtalking about that. But I'm also talking about things like claims of deficiencies that are given by people that clearly are not true. For example (near quote): OOo is about 10 years behind Office in functionality. That's a nice opinion, but it's factually wrong. If it's presented as fact by someone who I believe knows better (as I feel it was), then it falls within the realm of a lie. Unless said person decides to back that claim up. The problem is, when that person is you, backing is often not done. The result is either an attempted new diversion, another bald-faced lie, links to someone's opinion that's supposed to be given as fact and support, or a dropping of the thread altogether. Weird I've been trying to figure out why this problem happens, but am not having any luck. It happens in some test code I've written, which spawns a thread that ends up fprintf'ing a formatted message... There have been many, many other examples over the years. I'll be glad to dig a few up if you need some reminding. So, two can play at that game. You lie. I exaggerate and-or show even more anti-monopoly stuff when I get the chance. Weird Lin¿nut I don't see a single advantage to this code, I mean, it shows more how a little knowledge... That's but one example of why I may choose to do what I do. There are others. And sometimes it's you involved, sometimes some other liarFUDmeister. Like "Richard G. Riley" or Edwin, to name two that come to mind. As for what you thought I meant, that's also part of it. Not all posts that contain false and misleading information sound as outlandish as "linux burned my house down". Most (all?) of the Flatface (where Flatso uses s-h-it's "flatfish" moniker) posts, for example, are nothing more than a collection of complaints that are gathered together to make a single post, thread or series of posts. Flatf*** isn't the only one to do that, but Flatfart is well known for doing it. That those individual complaints may be real isn't the point of the post. The point of the post is to collect them all together and send them in a way that makes linux look unrealistically buggy. A person looking at such things for the first time could easily come to believe that it might be possible for an average person to have some of those complaints if a single person can have all of them at once. You guys stop the falsehoods and FUD and I may lessen my position. I can't speak for what others will or won't do. But I suspect they'd do similar eventually, intentionally or not. Just don't expect immediate miracles. It took a long time for you wackos to get everything wound up. It'll take as long or longer to reverse course. Because you chose to see past what I was saying instead of looking at it. Is it any clearer now or do I need to resort to hand signals? -- If Bill Gates had a penny for every time a Windows box crashed....Oh, wait a minute, he already does.
