What drives Bill Gates 1807What drives Bill Gates 1808 begin oeprotect.scr That would certainly be boring. I would prefer to see (as I was saying just a couple of years... sberry I've never been all that disturbed by manufacturer's claims of superiority, regardless of how blatant they may be. I think that it is reasonable to prosecute companies like the CherryOS bunch where they are misrepresenting specifics in terms of product performance, but comparative hyperbole is fair. If Microsoft constructs some scenario to show that Windows is a more optimum choice, then the observer has to determine if the stated criteria are as important to him as other criteria that are not mentioned. My own experience in technical sales situations is that customer companies do a good job of evaluating products such as server OS. Individuals are going to rely a lot on the word of the sales clerk and also friends and neighbors. Linux is largely invisible in these channels and doesn't begin to address the market. This inability to reach the market is what will keep linux from ever succeeding on the desktop. What about CSMA COLA makes people flame 1809 The main purpose of an advocacy forum is for the pros and the cons to voice an opinion, eh? Certainly a newbie who has adopted linux isn't going to post here for any useful... I don't know how accurate that is. If you look at the project lists for developers in the linux, apache, and psp areas, there are not so many names on the lists, only a few hundred. The other projects that I have looked at are mostly single individuals or a handful of like-minded people working on something either very obscure or very commonplace. There doesn't seem to be any efforts on fertile ground.
