I don't think even you can claim he meant they should be end, Larry. Read it again.Someone says to you that you will do such and such a thing, or have it done to you, and you reply: 'This will happen over my dead body'.

Kier I am new to linux, and I have a lot in common with those people in that survey. My interest...

This is an advocacy group. It would be surprising if such posts *didn't* appear. But then, what about all the anti-Linux screaming one reads here? The difference is, we are in our own Linux group. Wintrolls come in from outside and then dictate to us what we can say? I don't think so.

Not that I agree with or like all that is said against MS. I do happen to think it is often counter-productive, and have said so in the past.

As for posters hoping for the rests of MS execs, etc, I put that down to hyperbole, and don't take it literally.

Does it? I doubt they even think of it most of the time.

That is possibly true, particularly for those who won't delve any further into the issues involved. I once ran screaming from COLA. Then I came back and actually began to understand what was going on. Ask yourself, if MS is so wonderful, why the dislike? It must have *some* basis if fact for those who express these views.

I'll give you one off the top of my head: no one likes a bully, except another bully. By its very size and wealth, MS can ride roughshod over everthing and everyone, perhaps without even realising they've done so. But some of it *is* deliberate. They aren't content with a good-sized peiece of the pie, they want the whole thing, ingredients and all, to be theirs forever.

Personally, the last thing I want is an all-Ms world, where such a company ultimately controls my data and dictates how I can use and access it.

It's a delicate balance.

At least you will read it, instead of spewing insults at the first glance.
