Win2K on a laptop 168 plus 11

I prefer looking at slrn when I run it, seeing 253 articles, then finding 126 still looking at me (and another 40+ of those scored down) once I get into the group.

It's a matter of choices. You prefer to not be bothered. I prefer to have them in the cache for a couple of reasons. For one thing, I can call the rare one up to see if the idiocy quoted by someone was as stupid as it appears in the quote. For another, I'm totally sure I have a copy of the original post attributed to me when someone doesn't pay attention and reports me for something I didn't post, but it had my moniker attached.

Granted, the latter hasn't happened in a long, long time because I had to give the ISP lessons in reading headers of the reports they're given several times. I suppose either the reports have died off or they've decided not to bother because it's never been me.

The former is rare because I've learned to accept most quoting as being accurate (except by some of the dumbest ones, like SHEman, who mangles quotes most of the time, and some of the non-quoting dufii that show up occasionally). But I still like to go back and read the entire lunacy, uncut, put out by some of the biggest winners (weiners) that pop in, like DooFu$, Bilge, WindowsMORON, etc.
