Windows XP Price 16892DFS wrote something like: Windows XP Price 16893 amosf What's missing? Of course it can. Most of the best software is CSS - also the most expensive. But the issue isn't CSS vs OSS, it's 7 claiming it costs... Doesn't really cover a lot of the functionality I have now tho... Also interesting that you add free and OSS software there to prop it up. Can't CSS stand up on it's own? I'd have to pay money to ave less than what I have now with some other features I don't even need. In any case, in Oz it would be... $600-$800 for Office $1500-$2000 for server 2003 (that's what you use, DFS. Right?) then add things like $1000 photoshop And what if you add commercial firewall, adware, spyware, virus, etc. So windows can certainly run up in costs once you get away from largely unsupported OEM stuff... I run server software here now and multiuser and multiple logins... Any cheap XP product would appear to be a severe step backwards. Even 5 user 2003 seems restrictive. As for games, a great many run on linux now, certainly the 'best' one IMO seems to be available. Maybe that's just what my preferences are and maybe it's because I don't have a problem running some under cedega.
