Why Photoshop? That's way overkill. Photoshop Elements is all 99% of people need, and it's $50 to $100 USD. Or MS Digital Image Suite is $30 to $75.
At current exchange rates ($1 USD = $1.3 Oz), you would pay in Aussie $:
Office 2003 Pro full version: $210
Server 2003 Enterprise w25 CAL: $650
Photoshop CS (the biggie): $450
So do you see what's going on here? You SAY $3,100 to $3,800 AUD for 3 packages, but I prove the real cost is right at $1,300 AUD.
And it's about one-third of that to get the software you really need: Photoshop Elements, Office 2003 Pro, and Windows XP
Yours and 7's posts are perfect examples of why Linux nutcases aren't taken seriously. You lie that Windows software costs 2x to 7x what it really costs, or you say someone needs the most pricey server and app software out there. Anything to inflate the real costs of CSS, which are easily fair considering their quality.
