XGL Linux gets a 3D desktop 3388Using slrn. It opens the page just fine by pulling up Galeon. I have Apache turned off right now, so no screenshots. But the top of the page is arranged thusly (can't show font sizes, so it's not perfect): Firefox Whips Internet Explorer In Vulnerability Tally 3391 On Thursday 09 March 2006 08:55, Jim Richardson stood up and spoke the following words to the mbuttes incomp.os.linux.advocacy...: Despite what Erik wrote earlier regarding... MAXIMUM POWER COMPUTING Work at Atomic and PC Authority atomic Technical and gaming journalists wanted 2 full-time positions and so forth. Given privates's previous folderol I tend to agree with Peter. privates likely (in decreasing order of probability): XGL Linux gets a 3D desktop 3389 More importantly, why did his *first* set of posts almost universally cast aspersions against linux? He came to... 1. is using Windwoes 2. is lying (combined with #1 most likely, but perhaos independent of any Winders use) 3. has something totally screwed up on his linux FUDding-for-dollars platform, perhaps intentionally 4. made an honest attempt at using linux, hosed it up and isn't honest enough to admit he doesn't know what he's doing, leading to a situation in which he can't fix it himself and has started lashing out at linux and her users as a sort of twisted revenge for his own incompetence 5. has a screwed-up situation and is only now discovering it, but falls back to his normal first reaction of blaming everyone else (so far) or linux (previously, and probably in the near future) for what's wrong with his stuff If I missed something, I'd be glad to know so I can consider whether I think it's possible or not. No sense in privates giving me his $.02. I filed him away awhile ago, when I saw his agenda was to be anti-linux. -- All things are possible. Except making Windows secure.
