XGL Linux gets a 3D desktop 3389Firefox Whips Internet Explorer In Vulnerability Tally 3392 For the mentally challenged (important points highlighted): "Windows XP Professional, said Symantec, stays safe just one hour and 12 seconds, while the Windows 2000 Server... More importantly, why did his *first* set of posts almost universally cast aspersions against linux? He came to a linux advocacy group, presumably as a linux user, and started dissing linux. Firefox Whips Internet Explorer In Vulnerability Tally 3391 On Thursday 09 March 2006 08:55, Jim Richardson stood up and spoke the following words to the mbuttes incomp.os.linux.advocacy...: Despite what Erik wrote earlier regarding... He comes to an advocacy group and not only spouts gibber, he gets nasty when called on it. Why? He claims to have a problem (possibly a truncated URL, but I don't know if that was confirmed because I KFed the guy fairly early on), one that I and others aren't seeing. He gives what sounds like a problem (bad login) and hopes it pbuttes, when the problem he claims to be having should be a 404, not a login problem. How is this possible? I would have bought some of the early stuff. Maybe. But after several nasty posts, plus the atbreastude, plus the unverifiable and incomprehensible claims of problems, I'm not buying any of it. I suspect if linux is installed (something I have doubts about), the purpose was-is to lend credibility for his routine of being an butt. It wouldn't be the first time that has happened. -- Microsoft Marketing: The art of making you think the money you spent was worth it.
