I'm often surprised how the media decides to focus on one story so much and...

Those that had them yes, and true, Kuwait is one of the countries in the region with higher number of wealthy people. Other nations have more "clbuttic" wealth distribution (which Western society doesn't). A handful of rich, tiny middle clbutt, crushing mbuttes of poor.

It's not about clbutt. It's about *power* and what *society* has it. The Islamic society does not, effectively, "rule the world" instead it is modern western civilization that does so. They do not have great military power. They do not have great products outside of oil. And while some are rich, they are not the richest. And further, western ways are starting to influence life *in* the middle east. If anything, rich Islamic kids driving western cars, wearing western clothing, eating western food, and listening to western music is as much as insult to Islam (in the mind of a radical) as anything....however, it's a reason (to him) to strike out at the west...as the *source* of this "unclean" and "unholy" influence. In other words, it's about religion, and the society tied to that religion, which the radical interpretation of that religion says is supposed to be the most powerful in the world.
