Probably their most memorable.

This one's not bad either.

Hey hey, we're the Monkees... For what it's worth we're into song, But please don't watch our TV show, because it's just mega-wrong...

;-)

Hm...that might explain some of their antics. It's almost as bad-smelling as glue.

Then again, I don't remember their antics. My brain has them catalogued as "mostly harmless", as opposed to such notables as P. Diddy and L'il Kim. (Then again again, Elvis and Jimi Hendrix are both dead, and not from natural causes, IIRC. And who can forget the shooting of John Lennon?)

I think they're worth a footnote or two, perhaps, but the Beatles were far more popular.

Of course, the fact that I remember all four of the mentioned songs (or at least snatches of them) tells me that my brain is probably fried (lightly, with butter and a pinch of salt) from watching them. But then, it could be worse; I also remember "ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay" (whatever happened to the 7 or 8-year-old cutie(s?) who sang that?), "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E" (hello, Annette Funicello!), "I love you, you love me" (it's a purple monstrosity), "We're the A-a-a-a-animan-iacs" (I'm Yakko. I'm Wakko. I'm cute) and several other such. Thank goodness the Teletubbies don't have a lyrical theme song; I might be humming that now.

Where's that crowbar?!

"Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street" had reasonable lyrics, at least; let's hope that doesn't get converted to hip-hop, although with my luck it's too late.
