I wonder if M$'s "unbiased internal investigation" is anything like Cingular's "independent study" that shows it has the fewest number of dropped calls--yet I can't even get ONE f***ing bar in my house since I moved. I just LOVE "unbiased" studies!

This is what I hear a lot from people I'm working on converting to Linux. They literally don't KNOW that there's anything else out there, and if they're able to accomplish whatever they want to do with the tools they currently have...they just don't get why they should switch. Until I start asking them about: All the times they've had to reboot because their system hung-crashed--or they simply installed some new software; all the times they've had to buy new versions of 'doze and-or other software and-or new hardware in order to "keep up" with M$; all the time they've lost dealing with bugs, crashes, viruses, spyware, etc. Then you can see a lightbulb go off in their heads.

I really like this explanation; it's very logical and well thought out.

IMNSHO, these are the worst of the worst, because they're so brainwashed there's not much chance of enlightening them.

Very interesting.

Thanks for the very comprehensive, thoughtful reply. You've brought up a lot of good points.
