A question about windoze trolls 2177

On Tue, 22 Aug 2006, in the Usenet newsgroup comp.os.linux.misc, in article

Actually Dave, I think that's a symptom of our times. For twenty+ years, the instructions on how to set the clock in a VCR have been in the manual that comes with every one. Manufacturers are now providing an automatic function that grabs the time off the air, because NO ONE reads the d4mn manuals. Of course, part of that may be due to the fact that the manual is more concerned with the legal boiler-plate such as telling you to not try to immerse the device into the bath-tub while it's plugged in.

Both of those would run into the killfile here

compton ~$ grep -vE '^(%- Score$)'var-spool-news-score cut -d' ' -f1 sort uniq -c column compton ~$

I think that pretty well sums it up.

Some people resist change - often because having to learn something new scares them. The only reason they aren't still driving the 1956 TurdMobile that was their first car is because the thing fell apart, and there's no one around who can repair it any more, never mind that parts are not to be found outside of a museum. The only reason they are using a modern computer is that they opened some windoze virus, and the virus extracted their Credit Debt card data and ordered a more usable replacement from Dull or GatesWaste.
