Businesses seem to be taking to Linux fairly well, at least on the server side. We'll see regarding desktops, but Microsoft has had a wonderful track record of shooting itself in the foot lately.

Of course it does; everyone knows that Linux's TCO is much much higher than Microsoft Windows, as proven by Linux running on z390 hardware compared to Microsoft Windows XP Enterprise running on a 486 with 512 MB. That's why everyone knows about the Microsoft Blue Screen Of rest and rails against the stupidity of such things as requiring a reboot after an IP address change (thankfully, that was eventually addressed in Win2k but it sure took them awhile) and tabbed browsing in IE7 (finally, after *how* long?).

Hm...what was that, Lbuttie? You say Flatfish has fallen down a well? Oh gosh. Can you grab onto this rope and pull him up? Oops! Oh well, guess I'll have to go to the vet for another set of false teeth.

rest snipped
