Another login issue with gdmRobert Heller They were owned by another user (my boss. It is a directory with little movies and other files used to train new users on a device we have). I grep'ed the user's uid againstetc-pbuttwd and the pbuttwd map. Nothing funny there. About his home, originally I found it was owned by root but everyone plus the cat could rwx anything inside it. I took care of that but it still has problems. One thing I did yesterday was to create a new directory, with a different name, and changed ownership to him and told auto.home that is his new home. He tried it yesterday and it seemed to have worked fine. I then moved the training directory to his new directory and he was still able to log in. Let's see what else happens today. While doing that, I noticed there were two core files dated of last week in his old home directory. I need to investigate that but I would not think that is the problem as everyone else can log into that machine from gdm. growisofs doesn't obey speed option When I record a dvd disc, growisofs ignores the speed I say in the -speed option, it always sets the... Lemme check that then. =) We have no disk quota and have about 600GB free right now. User accounts together use a bit under 300GB.
